NAIVE NEW BEATERS

BIOGRAPHY

It all begun in 2005, when our 3 drunken Parisians decided to start their conquest of the West, meaning they want to head back to their home village (Los Angeles) to grab some duos with stars like Eddie Murphy.

Naive New Beaters’ California is dumb & trashy, psyched & dirty, mixed with major influences such as Richard Branson, “Silver spoons”, Kurt Cobain, Clint Eastwood’s mustards, Angus Young, MySpace, Elvis Presley’s hair cut, Fresh Prince….I agree, this might be a bit scary. Moreover as the band compares itself with “RZA flirting with Rod Stewart, Alf dancing on some Paul VanDyk’s while enjoying an AC/DC juicy burger with double Swiss cheese”. But, as soon as you hear one of their songs, you can’t help falling deep in it. Because, besides this sort of French mustard humour, these college kids are producing an unexpected “rapped-pop” full of heavy cat guitars and Indie-rock poetry with drools of the American Dream.

This music gender even has a name: “naïve new beat”. Their track selected for CQFD (contest created by Les Inrocks, the French NME magazine) brought them to tour France with wild gigs, open for Cassius’ concert and with their previous EP “Bang Bang” and its video clip (where the singer gets happily beat up), they made their first step on the international stage.

Their new EP “Live Good”, a mellower hit song, remixed by In Flagranti and The Bloody Beetroots should logically take them to the next level: Worlds’ conquest and an elegant first album that could help them cruise the streets of Los Angeles. This time, for real. The very creative and smashing « Live good video » was viewed over 400 000 times on internet !
